Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds from the Komen Nebraska Race for the Cure ® will be used locally to benefit the underserved women of Nebraska. Twenty-five percent of the net proceeds from the Race help fund the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. (Komen Promise: to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to for the cures. Recipients of last year’s proceeds include: Every Woman Matters, Central Nebraska Community Service, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Alegent Health Cancer Center and Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.
